Francisco Lemos is a full professor at IST in the Chemical Engineering Department. He graduate in 1981 in Chemical Engineering at IST, obtained his Master on Chemistry of Catalytic Processes in 1984 and a PhD in Chemical Engineering in 1989 with a thesis on Catalytic Cracking. He is currently the President of the Chemical Engineering Department of IST. His main fields of research are heterogeneous catalysis, analysis and modelling of dynamic systems and process control. He has published more than 100 papers in scientific journals, edited 8 scientific books. He has supervised or co-supervised 15 PhD thesis and participated or coordinated various research projects.
