João Fortunato obtained his degree in Chemical Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico (IST) in November 2022. His master's dissertation focused on establishing a strategy for reducing fugitive emissions from diffuse sources, applied to a vegetable oil extraction industry.
Since October 2023, he has joined the GrAPHy team, a project part of the M2N (Moving2Neutrality) agenda. The aim of the project is to study the production of green ammonia, decarbonizing the current process and enabling its application as part of a sustainable energy transition.
