UNTIeD - UNlocking the megaTsunamI Deadlock: using the near-source impacts to constrain tsunami generation by volcanic flank collapses

Completed
About
UNTIeD intends to propose a multi-disciplinary approach to study the proximal impact of Fogo's megatsunami. The objectives are threefold: to reconstruct tsunami inundation of Santiago Island in Cape Verde in high resolution, to acquire marine geophysical data around Santiago and to provide a seamless high-resolution bathymetric/topographic dataset and to develop a more solid, evidence-calibrated numerical model for the generation and near-source propagation/inundation of collapse-induced megatsunamis.
