CERENA Seminar - Vulnerability of Portuguese natural stone to high temperatures

Room C13 IST (Central Building) | Room F405 FEUP |

In this seminar of the series ‘Next Generation Science: Building a Path to Sustainability'  Roberta Lobarinhas will present her research: Vulnerability of Portuguese natural stone to high temperatures.

Natural stone is still popular for building because it's strong and eco-friendly, but it's posed at risk by climate change and wildfires. Roberta's study looks at how heat affects different types of Portuguese limestone, to investigate how it reacts to heat and to help protecting buildings better.
